Internet Marketing Secrets – How a Product Funnel Will Get You to 5 Figures Fast!

One of the first things you will need to do for an information marketing business is to design a product funnel. I can say with confidence that the product funnel is one of the main reasons for me reaching 5 figures a month within a year of setting up my business online (although others have got there quicker).

The idea of a funnel like this is to first build a list using a valuable free product. This free product should be something that your visitors will walk over broken glass to get (or at least give you their name and email address for further contact). Some ideas for a free incentive might be an ebook, an audio tutorial or a set of free videos.

Now, the higher the opt-in rate of your free gift, the more subscribers you are going to get. For example, if your opt-in rate is 50% (which means 50 out of 100 people who come to your site subscribe to your list), that means more subscribers with the same amount of traffic than if you were doing 30% for conversions.

Next, after your subscriber gets his free gift, you will want to sell them a low-ticket product, such as a $20-$100 product. This is where you first separate the buyers from the freebie seekers.

Once you get your buyers on a buyers list, you can then sell them high-ticket products like coaching programs or high-end membership sites that contain more advanced information. This can cost anywhere in the range of $500 to even $10000 or more.

Do remember that as your prices increase, so should the quality and value of your information. The information in a $500 home study course, obviously, should contain more information (and perhaps more advanced knowledge as well) than a $50 starter ebook.
