WordPress Plugins – WordPress Essential Plugins – Part 3

WordPress is an open source script which we can use freely. Many of the plugins are also free for us to use or even modify to our specific needs.

WordPress bloggers are really blessed because there are just so many free resources, such as themes & plugins, easily available.

The plugins mentioned below are great for improving the overall experience of your readers.

Alinks Plugin

What exactly does the “A” in Alinks stand for? It is all up to you to interpret, in my opinion, the “A” stands for the word “affiliate”. That is exactly what this plugin is good for. You can easily add your affiliate links.

You can assign links to be added to your blog posts, based on the keyword or keyphrase you select. Just imagine all of you blog posts have keywords as anchor text leading to affiliate links which earn you income when the reader clicks on it & makes a purchase.

Simple Tags Plugin

This tag allows you to add Technorati tags anywhere in your blog posts. Simply put your keyword in between [tags][/tags], after you publish the post, the text will link to Technorati, making it easy for Technorati users to bookmark your blog posts.

Sociable Plugin

Do you notice some cute looking icons at the end of some blog posts? These are links that allow readers to bookmark your post on their favorite bookmarking service. There are many different icons, each representing a different social bookmarking site. (Eg. Reddit, Del.icio.us, Furl, BlogMarks, etc)

Add Signature Plugin

This adds a signature at the end of all your blog posts. You can add HTML, plain text or even a graphic with an affiliate link.

Personally I recommend that you add keyword rich text links. You can either link it to your other blogs, your own product or even an affiliate product.
